Be aware of fake ticket sales!

In previous year’s we have noticed an increase in fake posts offering tickets for sale (Usually at a huge discount” – we will remove and block any that we are aware of but please remember to be vigilant!

This appears to be increasingly common for large events like ours.

It is best to always buy your tickets directly from our website or our clubhouse!

If you are buying tickets from someone else, make sure you know who you are dealing with, and remember not to exchange any money up front.

Prestigious awards ceremony chooses local beer festival as host

The Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) has chosen to return to the Gateshead Beer and Music Festival on Friday 29th April as the host for their annual North East Independent Beer Awards.

The festival is celebrating its 12th birthday this year and will provide the venue for the judges to decide on the best beers and ales from the region. The North East champions in each category will join the 7 other regional champions from the UK in moving forward to the national awards, which are held at BeerX, the UK’s largest independent craft brewing trade show.

The awards represent the very best beer from the UK’s independent brewers and are judged by fellow brewers and industry experts, making these awards the “Brewers’ Choice” awards in the UK.

Mark Anderson, Managing Director of Maxim Brewery and SIBA regional trustee , said:

“The North East regional beer competition and awards will showcase the best beers and breweries from Sheffield to Berwick on Tweed. Some 180 real ales of varying styles are entered into the competition and we are pleased that these will then be available for consumption at the Gateshead Beer and Music Festival weekend.’’
