One of the many highlights of our 2019 festival will return to Gateshead in 2021. To get a taste of what C-Collective are about, we recommend you try and catch the band live. Our video’s capture what we do musically, but cannot convey the energy and all round good vibes the band produce. We play an eclectic mix of songs which cover many genre’s – the aim being to appeal to all musical tastes and age groups. Our current repertoire includes everything from Bob Marley to Blur, The Jam to The Prodigy, Eurythmics to Kasabian, The White Stripes to Faithless, David Bowie to Stevie Wonder – all performed with a great sense of fun


The Sound Cartel (Time 19:00 to 20:00)

Emerging from the ashes of 18 months of enforced hibernation like a drunken phoenix, The Sound Cartel return to the Gateshead Beer Festival to bring you a wide range of tunes including songs by Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Queen, Oasis, Bowie, Stereophonics, Sam Fender, The Boss, Simply Red, The Coral, Elvis, Richard Ashcroft, The Beatles and more…

Covering all the eras of The Boss’s work, from his vast back catalogue with The E Street Band, his solo albums to his collaborations with The Seeger Sessions Band & Southside Johnny.
They add their own style & top musicianship to bring you a high energy, sweat soaked, sing along set to please Springsteen and fun loving music fans alike.

The Pretty Weeds (Time 14:45 to 15:35)

This fantastic female fronted four piece band performing an eclectic mix of carefully cultivated song.. there set list includes classic songs across the decades, from Chuck Berry to Bruno Mars, including: Pretenders, Blondie, Duffy, Corinne Bailey Rae, Caro Emerald, Alanis Morrisette, Republica, Wild Cherry, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson Five!!


City of Newcastle Pipe Band (Time 13.55 to 14:20)


Highland Pipe Band with performances including parades, music festivals and exhibitions.


Felling Male Voice Choir (Time 13:00 to 13:35)

“The men of Felling Male Voice Choir have been ambassadors of male voice singing for 100 years. And they reached a significant milestone on the 15th October 2020 when they were 100 years old. The Choir was classed as one of the best male voice choirs in the country, Champions of Britain, winners of over 100 first prizes in local and international music festivals. And at its peak was rated on a par with some of the top choirs from the Welsh Valleys.”


George Welch & Christine Jeans

Start your Sunday session off with a smile!

We are delighted to announce that the wonderful George Welch and Christine Jeans will once again be joining us on Sunday 6th May.

We’ve had the pleasure of hosting both George and Christine for the last 5 or 6 years… They are the perfect accompaniment for the Sunday lunchtime session.

George has, for many years, graced the live music scene delighting audiences with his quirky sense of humour, memorable vocals, guitar, cittern and ukulele. Christine is involved with the local folk music scene playing banjo, bass and ukulele. George and Christine have played together for several years at folk venues from Scotland to Northumberland to Yorkshire and enjoy every minute.
